Drew Carey has a padded “sex dungeon” in his house

The owner of the Seattle Sounders

So, I was driving home from work one day and flipped on the latest edition of the riotously funny Adam Carolla Podcast. He was talking to actress Kaitlin Olson of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and guess who came up? None other than Seattle Sounders owner Drew Carey!

According to Olson, who has apparently visited Carey’s house, Carey has a dungeon-like sex room with padded walls and mattresses on the floor. “It’s very creepy.” Adam describes Carey as a man with a Bill Maher-like sexual appetite, which sounds even creepier.

As the Sounders enter their first ever playoffs, I hope the fans of opposing teams know enjoy this nugget of knowledge very much.

  1. Wow! Somebody has sexual preferences! Shocking! And, by the way, I just traveled from the year 1998, where we impeach elected officials for that.

  2. This isn’t really a value judgement upon Carey’s preferences… more of a call to arms of fans for the next time they see him around. Three LA fans with a leather-clad blowup doll frantically waving it at Carey on draft-day. That’s more what I had in mind.

  3. We impeached someone for kinky sex in 1998? Shit, I miss all the good stuff. I recall something about someone who lied to a grand jury, but wow! This is news!

  4. You are just now figuring out that Drew Carey is creepy? All it takes is 2 or 3 minutes of a re-run of “Who’s line” to know he’s out there and so are his friends.

  5. Well, there’s a reason he wrote “Titties and Beer” instead of “The Book of Virtues.”

By the way, househunting listings become much more fun if you replace “game room” with “sex dungeon.”

I thought we impeached a guy for firing a Cabinet member without permission of Congress. (Now THAT’s a joke that skews old.)

  6. We’re talking about the guy who succeeded Bob Barker, right? I thought this sort of thing was a requirement for that job.

I gotta go, Drew’s calling me back to bed …

  7. I thought Drew Carey’s interest in S&M was pretty common knowledge. I remember reading something years and years ago about it, about how he’s quite open about the whole thing.

  8. Are you really thinking that supporters groups would A) see this as a negative, and B) not be accused of calling the kettle black if they brought this up?
I think this is better amunition for the Seattle Supporters than for their opponents. At least he’s an owner with some color.

  9. good for him. If I had 1/100th of drew’s syndication & Price is Right Money, I’d have a friggin’ harem to shame a Saudi prince. As long as he’s not hurting people, who cares?

  10. OK, you DO know that Carey funded/maybe masterminded the epic LA Riot Squad blow-up Chivas cheerleader stunt, right? Years ago?

  11. Carey also just donated $50k to a food bank in South Florida following their warehouse burning down last week. While this “dungeon” story may be true, I don’t know how good taste it is to make light of that given his other additions to society.

We all have skeletons. It’s those that manage to mitigate those Ssecrets” with other positive contributions that should be exonerated from the public ridicule.
