United to get a new radio signal?

At least the team’s radio coverage might improve, according to DCRTV:

Bonneville To Kill 3WT, Expand WTOP & FNR – 8/11 – Just in. DCRTV hears that Bonneville will be killing off low-rated talker 3WT. And will use 3WT’s old 107.7 Warrenton/Manassas signal to relay all-news WTOP, which will remain on DC’s 103.5 and Frederick’s 103.9 FM. With 3WT’s old DC area 1500 AM and Frederick’s 820 AM going to Federal News Radio, WFED, now on DC’s low-ish powered 1050 AM. The Washington Nationals will continued to be heard on 3WT’s old signals. More soon…..

WFED is the current rightsholder for United. That potential 1500 AM signal would be first signal in a long time that would allow for United broadcasts to be heard more than 15 feet from the transmitter. That would be very good news.
